Circleville Police Reports

- An employee from a Columbus car dealership came to the police station to report she allowed a Circleville resident to test drive a car and he never returned it. Officers attempted to locate the subject but had to leave a message with a relative to call. The complainant was advised to make a report with the Columbus Police Department. The male subject later called and advised the car "blew up on him," and he left it parked with the keys locked inside in the parking lot at Scioto Downs. He was advised to contact the dealership.

- A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported a suspicious male walking through the alleyways around her residence for quite a while. Officers were unable to locate.

- Extra patrol was requested in the 1600 block of Atwater Avenue after a resident reported someone in a passing vehicle threw something at the window of his residence. The window did not break, but officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone.

- Extra patrol was requested at Forest Cemetery on North Court Street after an employee reported someone dumping items on the premises.

- An employee at Genesis Rehab on Atwater Avenue reported a resident advised he was missing money. A report was taken on theft.

- An employee at Cashland on Lancaster Pike came to the police station to make a fraud report.

- A resident in the 1000 block of South Washington Street reported a known subject was trying to sell her son's video game. The property was returned.

- An employee of U.S. Bank reported a male subject was in to cash a check from an elderly resident whose daughter had advised some people were taking advantage of her and coaxing her to give them money. A report was taken.

- Officers responded to reports of a brush fire in the 300 block of Logan Street. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire, and the resident was advised.

- A resident in the 100 block of Town Street reported a complaint about the neighbor's dogs that bark non-stop and are not properly cared for.

- A resident reported a stroller was sitting abandoned at the corner of Linden Lane and Spring Hollow. The owner was located.

- A caller reported seeing two males carrying a large amount of meat in a Kroger hand basket and was concerned there may have been a theft. Kroger was contacted and said they were unaware of any recent thefts, but when officers arrived they determined the items were stolen. A report was taken.

- A resident on Detroiter Avenue reported she arrived home and discovered a female at her residence who was not supposed to be there. The caller requested the information be documented.

- A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street requested an officer assist him in retrieving some property from his son. A report was taken on a dispute. The caller then advised his son had damaged his property, and a supplement was taken on the original report.

- A caller reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle at Walmart. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office handled the scene.

- A caller reported someone had thrown a brick through a window at Trinity Lutheran Church on East Mound Street. Officers advised the damage was old.

- An employee at Berger Hospital reported a patient in the ER claiming she was involved in a car vs. pedestrian accident about 3 a.m. at Franklin and Washington streets. The victim advised she caused the crash and did not want to make a report. The other party was unknown. A crash report was taken.

- A resident in the 500 block of East Mound Street reported someone smashed the windows of her car and slashed the tires. No report was taken.

- An officer reported he was on the scene with a disorderly juvenile at Trinity Lutheran Church on East Mound Street. The juvenile was released to the parent, and a report was taken on disorderly conduct.

- A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported an open window in a vacant house. Officers advised the residence checked OK and was secured.

- Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of North Court Street. They were unable to locate.

- An employee at Berger Hospital reported a pickup truck leaving the parking lot with several juveniles lying in the bed of the truck. The vehicle was located at Speedway North and checked OK.

- Officers impounded a vehicle with expired plates following a traffic stop at East Main and South Washington streets.

- A resident in the 100 block of East Franklin Street reported a known subject tried to come in his residence, and when he told the subject he was not allowed inside, he began kicking the front door and threw something all over the windows. No damage was found, and the male subject was advised to clean up the mess.
