July 1

- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Francene Court due to neighbors making excessive noise in the area.

- A resident in the 100 block of Pinckney Street reported she heard someone messing around with her back door. Officers advised the scene checked OK.

- A resident in the 100 block of West High Street reported neighbors shooting off fireworks in the area. Extra patrol was requested.

- Extra patrol was requested in the 200 block of Villa Drive by a resident who was concerned after her home was broken into recently.

- Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 400 block of East Ohio Street. The call was canceled by the alarm company.

- Hazel L. Kelly was arrested for possession of narcotics following a traffic stop at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street.

- An officer discovered open doors at the city water department on Ohio Street. The supervisor was contacted and would call back if he needed a report after the building was secured.

- A resident in the 1300 block of North Court Street reported juveniles were being loud and revving an engine vehicle for an extended period of time. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

- A resident in the 500 block of East Mound Street requested extra patrol after her vehicle was rummaged through overnight.

- A resident in the 1300 block of North Court Street reported the neighbors' chickens and children were on their property. The officer advised the 4-H project chickens got out of the coop but were captured and returned. The neighbors were advised of the city ordinance.

- The Hocking County Sheriff's Office requested officers check the parking lot of Carnival Foods on Morris Road for a Bobcat front loader on a trailer not connected to a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the item.

- Officers responded to a smoke alarm activation at Holiday Inn Express. The call was canceled by the alarm company.

- A McArthur resident requested it be documented that a male subject has been getting narcotic prescriptions filled with his name and information at CVS on East Main Street. Officers advised CVS corporate was involved and was taking care of the issue. No actual theft occurred, and no report was taken.

- A male subject was arrested by the probation department in the 100 block of East Mill Street. Officers assisted with that arrest, then marked out at Twin Oaks Apartments due to four small children being left alone inside the residence while the parent was outside talking. Probation made an arrest, and Children's Services arrived on the scene. A report was taken on child endangering.

- A 911 caller reported she was walking along Logan Street to the Ohio Market when a male in a gold Chevy truck followed her. She arrived home and the truck drove by her residence. Officers were advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

- A resident came to the police station to report a known male subject was following and threatening her as she was walking down the street. Officers advised there was no harassment, she was in a verbal altercation with the male.

- A resident in the 500 block of Sycamore Drive reported a family member left his vehicle on the property without permission, and the caller wanted it removed. Officers advised it was outside the city limits, and the caller was referred to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office.

- An officer was flagged down in the area of Ohio Heights on a report of a large tan-colored pickup truck trying to pick up young females around the parking lot. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

- A resident in the 500 block of North Court Street reported her 15-year-old had been unruly. Officers determined the incident happened in Ross County. No report was taken.

- A resident in the 400 block of East Ohio Street reported a gold pickup truck had been in the neighborhood trying to pick up young girls. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

- Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of Lawnwood Court. The call was canceled by the alarm company.

- A caller reported the crossing gates at South Court Street railroad tracks had been closed for 10 minutes but were now open again. Officers determined construction in the area caused the gate malfunction.

- A resident on Detroiter Avenue reported a known male subject was making threats to one of her family members and threats about damaging her property. Extra patrol was requested.

- Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 500 block of Glenmont Drive. The vehicle was impounded.

- Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

- A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported her son attempted to stab his sister with a knife. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

- A caller reported water coming out of the roadway in the 300 block of East Franklin Street. Officers attempted contact with the water department, but they got no answer.

- Thomas J. Baum Jr., 34, was arrested in the 100 block of Mingo Street for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

- A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported someone had called her seven times over 15 minutes after being told to stop calling. No report was taken.

- Officers impounded a vehicle following a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Mound Street.

- A caller reported someone in a vehicle was making drug transactions at Kroger on Lancaster Pike. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

- Officers located narcotics following a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Franklin Street. Misdemeanor citations were issued, and a report was taken on possession.

- The water plant superintendent advised a Fairfield County deputy located a fire hydrant believed to have been stolen from the city of Circleville. Information was obtained.

- A resident in the 500 block of Douglas Drive reported a vehicle they recently purchased had been taken from in front of the residence. The officer advised the vehicle was impounded.

- Brian Pennington was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of Ohio Heights.

- A caller advised a vehicle was parked at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park after hours. Officers spoke with the occupants of one of these vehicles and advised them of park hours. The scene checked OK.

July 2

- A resident in the 300 block of Weldon Avenue reported she believed her neighbors' house was being burglarized. Officers located a male subject in the area, who advised he was out on a late walk. The scene checked OK.

- Officers responded to reports of a possible prescription drug overdose in the 300 block of Clark Drive. The subject was transported to the hospital.

- Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 500 block of North Court Street. The vehicle was impounded.

- An officer was requested for a stand-by while the Pickaway County Health Department delivered a nuisance letter in the 300 block of East Union Street.

- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Georgia Road after a resident reported a known male subject drives through at a high rate of speed numerous times every day.

- A 911 caller reported his mother-in-law assaulted him in the 100 block of Lowery Lane. The female then came to the police station to speak with an officer. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

- A caller reported a male had been sleeping or lying down and not moving in the shelter house at Ted Lewis Park all morning. The officer advised he was waiting for a ride and checked OK.

- A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. advised her 17-year-old daughter's boyfriend was refusing to leave her home. The caller was advised not to return to another residence in the area.

- A resident in the 1000 block of North Court Street reported a theft.

- A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported her neighbors were screaming at each other. A supplement was taken on a previous report.

- A 911 caller reported her granddaughter was abusing her in the 100 block of South Pickaway Street. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

- A resident in the 200 block of North Scioto Street reported items had been stolen from her yard. A report was taken on theft.

- A resident in the 100 block of Pinckney Street reported a male subject stole her debit card. A report was taken on theft.

- A caller reported a blue water cooler had been sitting at the corner of Court and Mound streets all day. A report was taken on found property.

- A resident on McCulloch Avenue reported the neighbor's children were trying to fight with her own. A report was taken on a neighbor complaint.

- A resident in the 200 block of Hayward Avenue reported she recovered items from a theft. The incident was handled by the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office.

- A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Avenue reported two small dogs were barking continuously. The owner was advised, and the dogs were taken inside.

- A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported a lot of smoke coming from a clothes dryer. The fire department handled the scene.

- A resident in the 200 block of Clark Drive reported a male who shovels her driveway in the winter continuously comes to her door asking for work, but she believed he wanted more than work. The resident was advised to call police if the male returned.

- A resident in the 200 block of Mace Drive reported a male was chasing her husband with a knife on Villa Drive. A report was taken on a fight.

- Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 600 block of East Mound Street. The scene checked OK.

- A resident in the 300 block of East Union Street reported people were setting off fireworks in the area. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

- A 911 caller reported someone was setting off fireworks in the area of the 1000 block of Mulberry Road. All units were advised.

- Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of West High Street. Information was obtained.

- A resident in the 600 block of East Mound Street reported a missing small-breed dog. Information was obtained.

- A resident in the 1000 block of Mulberry Road reported fireworks being set off in the area and a small fire in the back yard of a nearby residence with the odor of marijuana. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

- A caller reported a male subject threatened to shoot him in the 900 block of South Court Street. The officer made contact with the subject and his caretaker and advised the caller was not in danger. The scene checked OK.
