The Partners for Paws spring wine tasting fundraiser was amazingly successful!
I believe all who attended came away from the Paws event with a better understanding of the support Paws gives to the Wright-Poling Pickaway County Dog Shelter and the good work the dog shelter staff does for our homeless dogs currently in their care.
Paws would not be able to host an exciting event like the "Paws for a Cause" wine tasting fundraiser without the support of the business community and the many individuals who donate and volunteer their services.
A special thanks to Keith and Leslie at Slate Run Vineyards and Winery for the use of their beautiful facility and their continued support of Paws, and Jo and David at The Ridge Inn in Laurelville for their delicious catering talent.
The following are businesses who opened their hearts and donated for the Paws Silent Auction: Bob Evans Restaurant, J & M Printing, Goodwin's Family Restaurant, Coughlin Automotive, Big Lots, The Savings Bank, Gio's Pizza, Rhoads Garden Center, Wellman Funeral Home, Roundtown Paws & Claws, Melinda & Kristy, For the Love of Paws homemade dog treats, Judy Miller at Classicutters, Rita Reichelderfer, Avon representative, Jim & Jonnie Hooks of Edward Jones on East Main Street, Precision Jewelers, We The People Clothing, Porter's Car Wash, Lindsey's Bakery, Aztech TV, Heritage Trading Post, Scioto Valley Coffee, Wittich's Fine Candies, Wagner's Florist, Leist Mercantile, Vinton County National Bank and Elder Forest Handmade Soaps & Body Care, all of Circleville; Engle's Greenhouse, Starting Over Massage and Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, all of Ashville; Herrnstein Automotive Group, Danbarry Cinemas and Max & Erma's Restaurant, all of Chillicothe; and Shades Restaurant, Canal Winchester.

I may be the one who gives the speeches and accepts the thanks for a "job well done," but without my wonderful, hard-working Paws volunteers, there wouldn't be an event worth talking about.
